Dana Yizhaky is a board-certified Physician Assistant with advanced training in acupuncture and integrative medicine. She specializes in diabetes care, metabolic health, and weight management, bringing together evidence-based endocrinology and Eastern healing traditions to create a truly holistic patient experience.

Dana’s path into medicine began long before her formal training — she was raised in a home deeply rooted in acupuncture and Eastern practices, growing up as an “acupuncture child” who experienced firsthand the power of mind–body medicine. This early exposure laid the foundation for her lifelong passion for integrative care.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley, where she distinguished herself through extensive community engagement and a semester abroad in the Solomon Islands, contributing to community and environmental health initiatives. Her commitment to service continued through volunteer work with multiple organizations and hands-on clinical experience as an EMT in Los Angeles, where she developed a strong foundation in emergency and acute care.

Dana went on to complete dual Master’s degrees in Physician Assistant Studies and Public Health at Tufts University School of Medicine. Her postgraduate work includes specialized training in Japanese-style acupuncture, allowing her to blend Western clinical precision with Eastern therapeutic approaches — a rare and powerful combination in modern healthcare.

Dana’s emerging clinical focus is psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology — exploring how the mind, hormones, immune system, and nervous system interact to shape health and healing

Outside the clinic, Dana leads a vibrant and creative life—dancing, painting, and traveling—and channels this artistic perspective into her approach to healing
